Personality: Bright and cheerful Chika is in every way a delightful being to be around… that is until you get her angry. She is energetic and smart despite her small size and young age, but she uses her size to her advantage. Though Chika is a bit hot tempered at times and acts for the most part as Cereth's conscience, she is really sweet, a little bit childish sometimes, yet cares a great deal for those she befriends, but sometimes it doesn't seem like it.
History:

Upon first glance most would consider this happy mischievous creature as a demon, but she is far from one. Being a Mephit, she was born in Calamia, on the continent of Thelahar, in some remote forest near the mountains. One day an innocent prank she and her best friend Flick had been performing at a local village went terribly awry… and lead to Chika's capture. She was held in a magic cage by a sorcerer as a sort of pet… and mana source for a little longer than a year. One day the sorcerer was killed by a group of demon hunters for summoning evil creatures. Disguising herself as a bird with her polymorph spell she was released by the hunters while they were taking their loot.

Once freed Chika never really entered into human establishments… only on occasion. It was one day in the woods where she happened to meet her future traveling companion and closes friend. A handsome young male human was chasing a pretty girl through the woods, asking her if she wanted a big strong hunky man, flexing his muscles and flashing her pretty smiles. Unable to resist she played a prank on him while he was in pursuit of the pretty girl, and basically scared him witless while his prospect got away. Cereth discovered her ploy when she transformed back and laughed hysterically at him. Seeing her ability to change he asked her to change into a monster so he could put on a show for the girl he had been chasing, pretending to defeat her and win the girl. Instead he got Chika's largest spell, a magic mallet five times her size, slammed into his skull.

Despite his headache he and Chika became friends finding that they both enjoyed a good gag… and a well thought out trick. So they traveled together from that point on, scheming and plotting their next act of foolery.
