Nakhti Kashet'areth
Personality: Nakhti is proud of her lineage, the princess of the Athdraki, and daughter of the great Jeremas. She is very domineering towards those she finds are weak or annoying, yet she always holds an air of authority and power to whomever she addresses. Nakhti can be arrogant, especially when she is angry, though this is often a side effect she displays to those she does not like, especially to Calamians. She is intelligent and determined; devoting herself to whatever task she is presented. Weakness is considered a flaw in their society, and so she upholds herself to the standards in an exemplary fashion. She trains hard, and respects those who actually earn their ranks through blood, sweat and tears.
Despite her many flaws she is a very loyal person, she would do anything for the Empire- or even a worthy comrade- even if it meant sacrificing her own life. Her father and family name mean everything to her, and so she's worked extremely hard to gain her position and power, to honor her namesake. It is not hard to see that she has become obsessed with finding a way to set her father free from his prison. Her bitterness and hatred are mainly targeted towards the races of Calamia, for she wishes nothing more than to see the humans rot in their graves, or at least grovel in servitude. Nakhti truly is a regal being, holding herself with poise and an air of confidence. She is also a fierce being, hot tempered when crossed, and has been known to lash out in her anger if pushed too far. She has no issue with killing anyone, and often takes delight in it- torturing her victims before releasing their soul to the Gods.
She does have a bit of a complex when it comes to her human form. She loathes it, and so uses it sparingly, only for spying missions or to reserve her strength for when she is preparing to use great amounts of magical energy.
History: The last offspring of the Titan Jeremas, Nakhti was but a child when the wars in Calamia began. She spent her life in the royal compound in Israidius and was immediately put to training the day she became of age. Yet she was inevitably left alone, all her family gone after that fateful day her father was sealed away.
Chaos erupted all around her, and she was thrust into a world of power hungry Israidians vying for her father's throne. Nakhti did as best as she could, with the support of Jeremas's most loyal followers, and made a bid for the throne herself. Even though she was but a youth at the time, responsibility was thrust on her shoulders, and she took it very seriously. Yet she was young, inexperienced, and she could not garner the support she needed to reunite the races. The people had no faith in a child, even if she were Jeremas' daughter.
Things were looking grim, yet Nakhti was doing the best she could given the circumstances. She did accomplish some great things in her time as ruling body of the Sanctuary, and she spent many years working to rebuild what was lost. Yet in one day everything changed. Gornaz, one of Jeremas' strongest followers- and fellow Titan- returned. He instantly took over Nakhti's position as if he had been doing it all along. Nakhti was torn- she was grateful that he had come back to aid them in their darkest hours, yet she was also angry that he had pilfered her position, taking over and practically claiming what she had worked so hard to accomplish. She was also angry at him for his disappearance in the war when her father needed him most.
Gornaz instantly gained support from those she had been fighting with for approval, and everyone seemed to forget more and more about all her years of painstaking work. Not only that, but Gornaz seemed to dismiss her more often than not.
It planted a deep seed of bitterness and anger in her, one that still blooms in her even today. Because of this Nakhti made it a point to become strong and powerful, to show that she was a being to be feared and respected, even by Gornaz. She would not allow anyone to sully her father's name. Her failure to unite the races on her own was a hard pill to swallow... she would not allow herself to fail, not only herself but her people, like that again.
Thus Nakhti began her crusade, spending many years on the front lines in Israidius as a common Athdraki soldier, fighting against the Corrupt. She earned her titles and prowess on the battle field, quickly rising in the ranks until she became a general and confidant under Gornaz himself.
Although she does not always see eye to eye with Gornaz, and has been known to question his actions or argue with him at times, she does hold a form of respect for him. However, she does pine for the day Gornaz is removed from his position, just as he had done to her, and her father returns to his rightful place as ruler of the Valdharian Empire.
Nakhti is best known to the people of Calamia as the “Angel of Death”, for wherever she is seen death shortly follows. She is solely responsible for the murder of King Drelinor and the destruction of the city Alta.
