Hair Color/Style: Hair is a deep, dark, rich, punchy-blue tealish color. Wears it long. Mainly Kassian pulls it up high atop his head. Sometimes he wears several small braided strands near his face when his hair is either pulled up or worn loose. Sometimes he will wear it in one long braid. Rarely is it left loose.

Marks/Scars/Tattoos: Slave brand of a celtic knot design flowing around the word "Blackwood" that was pressed into the skin of his inner left ankle.
Physical Appearance: Sports a pair of large, feathery light-amber colored wings. Face has refined features and a perfectly formed face with tanned unblemished skin. Body is athletic and Kassian is as flexible as they come--his body is not bulky but built light for speed and agility and certainly for flight. Has a natural glow to his skin from his aura when the aura is not suppressed.
Occupation/Class: Animist
Magic/Magite: Has two oval shaped magite stones. One for creation and the other for spirit. The rune of Spirit sits on green stone and the other stone that has the creation rune is amber.
Carried Possessions: Kassian always wears both his magite stones on a brown leather choker about his neck--feeling it is necessary to keep his stones on display, yet always keeping both as close to his body as possible. Also brings with him traveling essentials (i.e. bedroll, tent, rope, waterskin, etc.). When entering cities or around other people will wear a cloak to hide his wings.
Clothing and Armor: Normally will wear just his quilted Aketon of dark brown with gold trim and leather pants and boots. When going into battle will wear the Aketon under his chain mail Hauberk in which the length runs to his knees. Also Wears metal bracers to protect his lower arm, and has metal greaves and sabatons to protect his lower legs and feet. Has the rune symbols of creation and spirit engraved on his bracers and greaves, as well as images of feathers.
Weapons: Long Knives (baselard blade - double-edged, tapering to a point. Because it is light in design, the blade can swing faster and the weapon is capable of producing both good cuts, effective thrusts and can even pierce armor.) There are multiple scabbards for the knives to rest against Kassian's hip and more are hidden on his back and there are hidden places for smaller knives on his greaves and bracers (one more on each piece).
Likes: sunrises, music (plays a small flute-like instrument), flying, jogging, company of others (though does not admit to that himself), helping people, staying in shape (trains every day, likes to keep self in above and beyond the perfect level of fitness), eating healthy, reading, studying, mediation, family (though has none, though determined to find his sister)
Dislikes: foolishness, disorganization, joking (doesn't enjoy sarcasm), laziness, uncleanliness, swimming (isn't very good at this since his wings make it awkward to try), traveling by boat, the ocean, traveling with others (only because he is slow to trust others he does not know), being alone (but will not admit to it but he does enjoy his need for daily mediation), foods with too much seasonings (especially salt), foods with too much sugar or fat, evil
Merits: practical, intuitive, swift, agile (fighting/flying/running), skilled, intelligent, adaptable, reliable, loyal, inquisitive, honest, caring (especially about family, friends too), defensive fighter (only fights offensively when needs to), not reckless
Flaws: blunt, honest (will not lie), naive, untrusting, touchy, inquisitive, perfectionist, patronizing, impatient (with those who are lazy), detached, finicky (with appearance, especially of wings and with staying in shape), humorless (doesn't understand the concept of jokes, etc.), judgmental (will make opinions about people from what he knows about their race, etc.), nosey (too curious), overprotective (especially with family, and friends), solemn
Worst Fear: Never being able to find his sister (but stubbornly won't give up hope that he some day will find her). Not knowing how to interact with another Celestial should he run into one. Not being good enough. Being forced back into service of his former human warlord masters, loosing faith in what he's capable of doing
Personality: Kassian grew up to understand it is best to put yourself first before others--and to be perfect in everything you say and do. If not--there was consequences to be had. When interacting with groups, the celestial is rather blunt, sometimes even rude, but he will not lie and will always give his opinions without giving you the run around. In his life growing up, Kassian was forced to become some twisted warlord family's form of entertainment--and as a result the Celestial forced himself to become detached from others while doing his master's wishes. His philosophies in life are very Zen and it reflects on how he handles his everyday life.
Eventually just having a Celestial around was not good enough of a prize for the Blackwood Warlord family. Thinking to get more interest out of their prized slave--the family eventually allowed Kassian to learn magic. The magic they wished him to use was the magic of manipulation of objects--desiring their Celestials to give shows in front of guests and private parties--their slave to be a puppet master of sorts--animating items in the room for their own enjoyment and twisted purposes.
Needless to say--Kassian is far from a 'people person'--but will tolerate company and truly does enjoy being around others (though will not admit it to himself). Lives the life as a loner--and will not go into towns unless necessary. When settling into a location for a while--Kassian will often scare away the locals from his area with floating or moving objects near his place he is inhabiting--most thinking then that the place is haunted. On his own Kassian has learned to use weapons with his magic to further his line of defense.
History: Having been forced into the life of a slave under the Warlord Garvin Blackwood--Kassian grew up to barely know a life with family. The Blackwood family is whom Kassian has served loyally throughout the years growing up. He knew no real other life but the life of an animist entertainer, his short life with his mother is only a faint memory. What kept Kassian enduring through those long grueling years--besides his zen attitude--was the knowledge that he has a sister and that she is alive out there somewhere (this knowledge he obtained from his mother at a young age before Kassian was captured as a young child). He gave up the idea of ever knowing his father--his father had left long before Kassian was born. But finding his sister was another story entirely. Knowing he had kin out there somewhere was what kept Kassian strong through the darkest of experiences as a slave.
When Kassian was captured, his mother was taken in as well. It was rumored that Garvin--his first master--had killed Kassian's mother for her disobedience. Never having been in the presence of his mother while under Garvin's rule--Kassian is unsure of the fate that has become of her. Realistically Kassian understand his mother is probably dead.
Kassian understood his place as a slave--but never once thought himself as such. He pretended to be subdued for the majority of his time under the cruel iron fist of the Blackwood family, them thinking they had easily manipulated him and used him to do their bidding. Though even still, the Celestial barely remembers the loving embrace of family. It was a long harsh life--and one with little hope--but he fiercely kept his attitude in check. He never once lost hope--though it was tested time and time again.
Hope rang truest when the Blackwoods decided to start his training in magic. Magic was key to his escape. After having been forced to seriously injure one of his masters in self defense--Kassian fled the Blackwood Keep--running away and never once looking back. There is no doubt a price on his head--but the Celestial has been very careful to hide his tracks. He travels very little into towns--and rarely into cities. He stays on the outskirts of villages for any given amount of time--keeping people away by scaring them with his animist magic.
*A history that Kassian does not really remember is that of his parents past together. The two celestials had met long ago in a time after Moonspire was destroyed. When Moonspire was attack, Kyrin Etendari had abandoned his wife and people--living then in Calamia. This is the time when Kyrin met Kassian's mother, Sephina Salazar--who also fled Moonspire when it was attacked. The two became lovers--and one day Kyrin and Sephina discovered that Sephina was with child. This fact brought back terrible memories for Kyrin and old regrets began anew. The new family he had before him now did little to keep Kyrin feeling settled and happy--only serving to further his pain. His guilt at abandoning his former wife and people ate away at him. One day Kyrin just left Sephina--abandoning his lover and unborn child. Eventually Kyrin fell to an Agheon and became a Forsaken. Sephina took in searching for Kyrin after her child was born. She raised Kassian best she could on her own--but wished desperately for the child's father to return. However, in their searching Sephina and her son became caught by the terrible Blackwood family and that is where Sephina met her end--but her son had not been so lucky--growing up only to know the life of a slave until his timely escape.
