Emotions are things that get in the way and so he tries to cut them off, not even allowing himself to get close to another.
History:

There are many legends about the Silent Warrior. Stories of valor and tales that could send chills down the spines of grown men have been told for centuries of the mysterious demon slayer. What he is, nobody knows. Some believe him to be the very spawn of the devil, others, men who simply took the title over the years. What people do know is, that wherever he goes, demons follow close behind.

In the year 3119 ADW, it was reported that the Silent Warrior appeared in the capital of Auraton, Rionia, on the day before the great city’s destruction from an onslaught of demons lead by the Hope Slayer. Encountering the Hope Slayer within the castle, Xeno had taken the Talisman of Peranicus from the demon general. Having escaped from the general and the demon army through a secret underground tunnel system with Ryana, they encountered an ancient beast known as Metuvaq. Barely able to defeat the creature and having his dagger destroyed by the monster’s acidic spit, they fled further into the tunnels.

Exiting the tunnels through an empty well (or so it appeared to be), he encountered a young human girl and half-demon, Tindle and Otaka. Later that same day he met Quenya, Silver, Lilith, and Raven. Though displeased with being in a group so large, Xeno took a ship from Alta to Sarensburg, where he traveled with the others to Calora. Having gone his own way in the city, the Silent Warrior spoke with Vivien De’Saide, learning of Gornaz’s plan to free Jeremas using the talismans of power. With the help of the Arch Mage, Dorian, Xeno discovered the location of another talisman. Giving the talisman of Peranicus to the emissary of Tosarik, Evirion, he returned to Vivien, where Tindle rejoined him, or more of...followed him.

Leaving Calora, Xeno headed to Myrkin, Tindle following close behind. While heading toward the port city, they found Lucen unconscious beside a tree. Taking the man with him, Xeno rented some rooms at an inn for Tindle and himself. The next day, they encountered a vampire that went by the name Radiel. Before Xeno could slay the creature, Lucen interfered. Later Radiel attacked Tindle where Xeno used a magical stone, given to him from Vivien, to vanquish the vampire, but not without greatly injuring himself in the process.
