Join the Dark World RPG
Welcome and thank you for your interest in our game! The Dark World RPG is a free-form PBeM, which means our game is run in a story style format. Players interact with each other via postings, which are written from their characters prospective. We use the Yahoo!Groups site for our game forum, as it offers features that are best to run our game in an efficient manner. All prospective members need to send in a character application and have it approved before being admitted into the group.
There are a few things that prospective players need to do before they should even submit a character application. If you follow these step by step instructions you’ll be on your way to joining our game!
- Read the Rules.
- Download and fill out a Character Application Form.
- Submit Character Application Form to GM’s.
- Join Dark World RPG Forum and OOC groups.
Character Application Form
Your character is the most important part of joining this RPG. Read our information carefully, fill out the application to the best of your ability, and take your time and think your character through. We need ALL information on your character present on the form, for GM knowledge. If you need any info to be hidden from the main group use these {{{hidden info goes here}}} brackets.
If there are possible conflicts or problems with the character, after submission, we will email you with necessary fixes. Be reasonable, flexible, and open for critique and possible adjustments to your character. We will do our best to help in these circumstances, be fair and help us out too.
Your character can be denied initially for one of the following reasons:
- Illedgible application.
- Blank information fields.
- Not adhering to racial,class, and historical information.
- Not following restrictions.
- Breaking rules.
More often than not your questions may be answered by our extensive FAQ's on our website. If your question is not there then by all means send us an email via our Contact Us link at the top of the page.
All These factors are Prohibited and/or Restricted to GM use/permission ONLY. Applications pertaining these factors will be denied unless otherwise stated:
- Dragoon with Dracentaru as their dragon God.
- Gornaz, Jeremas or any General of the Valdharian Empire in your character's lineage and/or history.
- Any character with an age above their race's typical means, and/or dating before or around the time of the war of Daishevar.
- True Vampires, Half-vampires, old/ancient Vampires, Misbegotten, Athdraki, Deshiven, Corrupt or Forsaken as their race.
- Berserker, Dragoon and Mystic classes.
- Being one of The Guardians.
- Having a mystical and/or talking animal as a familiar or pet.
- Creating or playing a race that is not listed on our race page.
- Listing/mentioning in your character’s bio (anywhere - in history, items, weapons, armor, etc.) powerful and/or multiple magical objects of any sort.
- Characters with strange natural abilities, special gifted abilities or god-like powers.
- A character of omen, prophecy, legend, etc.
- Giving your character a Sixth Sense.
- Psionist as your class. This class does NOT exist!
- Characters that can open portals/gateways to anywhere, in any form.
- Valdharian Empire General as their occupation.
- Characteristics/Abilities that do not comply with the character's racial and/or class specifications.
- A character with royal blood, ruler or heir to a throne or in line for a kingdom/clan.
- A cursed character.
- Dragon Riders, as they are NOT an available profession/class.
- A Dwarf Purifier as your profession.
- An Evidae Purifier as your profession.
Below are two formats for our Character Application, one is a .doc format, and one is a .txt. Both are the exact same application, but the .txt is unformatted and intended for those without a proper word program. Download one of these sheets and fill it out in your own text editor.

Submitting Your Application
After you have filled out a Character Application form, you must submit it to our GM team for review. Again, all character applications must be approved before group access is allowed.

All applicants to the Dark World RPG, who submit a character application for review, agree to our Player Agreement. This agreement is included on the Character Application form and here for reference.
Player Agreement
By submitting this character the applicant agrees to the rules and terms of the Dark World RPG. The applicant also acknowledges that this RPG is rated 'R', for language, adult content, and violence. In accordance to our 'R' rating the applicant hereby states that they are at least seventeen (17) years of age or older.
