War of Daishevar (Demon Wars- lasted 43 years)
Nakhti born, last child of Jeremas, year 34 of the demon wars.
Gornaz disappeared at the end of the Demon Wars.
11 years of recovery, then a new era was declared. The years dating from the new era to 67 ADW are called the 'Lost Years'.
4th year of recovery, Derrek destroys Yarshevek, the Holy City, and gains his title “Hope Slayer.”
3 ADW, Ryden was born.
12 ADW, The construction of Nusarum, the new holy city, within the blessed lands of Valdurial, begins.
13 ADW, Demons began to show up throughout Calamia more often.
14 ADW, The Dwarven city of Goldshard is completed within the Shadowspire Mountains.
25 ADW, Nusarum is completed, and was a grand site to behold, being stated that even dragons had helped with the construction of the city. Till this day it is said that Nusarum is by far the most beautiful cities in all of Calamia. The new Holy City greatly raised the hopes and spirits of the people. Oinamu Devatar, a man renowned for his great deeds during the War of Daishevar, was appointed as the Guardian of Nusarum on the 22nd of Firedawn. The Devatar family is still the Guardians of Nusarum to this very day, and is considered one of, if not the oldest, human legacies in all of Calamia.
26 ADW Zeiros leaves Ryden to face an unknown threat. He is never seen again.
28 ADW, Drasnia, the first Elsyven settlement to rise after the war of Daishevar, was founded in the lands of Auraton.
31 ADW, Mathius Vieseoln began the foundations of the Kingdom of Rionia. (Rionia’s insignia was a rearing white stallion)
36 ADW Ryden, now a legend amongst demon slayers, searches for the portal to the demon world.
37 ADW, Ryden journeys to the fiery lands of Tresvath in search of the portal to Israidius.
42 ADW, The largest clan of Elsyven settled themselves on an island just south of the shores of Valdurial, and named the lush tropical land Ithiraa. It is here they constructed Elreal, a great beautiful city blended perfectly with nature, and is still home to the vast majority of the Elsyven population to this day.
58 ADW, Rionia, located within the lands of Rashnal was completed, and Mathius Vieseoln, its founder and leader, was crowned as its first King. Many harsh feelings towards the races that had abandoned the humans after the war remained with the people of Rionia, and so have had broken relationship with the other races since its founding.
65 ADW, Stoneveil was settled by the Elsyven in the Uvahna Mountains, at the tallest peak named Mount Ensir. Those of Queras’lin also settled around the same time south and east of the Stoneveil Elsyven, in central Lagunis.
67 ADW, Ethidris Lionheart took leadership of a large reformed human nation, and began the foundations of the new city Calora within the lands of Lagunis.
89 ADW, Calora, was completed on the 17th of Firedawn, on a hill overlooking the Great Lake. Ethedris Lionheart was pronounced first King of the Kingdom of Narovia, and he appointed his good friend, Amalas Unithrandil, Arch Mage and high Visor to the King. The Elsyven were overjoyed that one of their own was in such a high-ranking position in human society. It has since been recorded that the nation of Narovia has had a strong alliance with the Elsyven of Queras’lin and Stoneveil. (Calora’s insignia is a winged lion and a sun.)
116 ADW, A dwarven clan settles within the Phalderi Mountains and begins building their stronghold Obsidian Keep.
119 ADW, Veluralin’s castle keep and outlying city work was completed, and its original founder’s son was crowned its first king, Gauvain Lui Veluralin, the city being named after the noble Veluralin family line. (Veluralin’s insignia is of a rearing bear in front of a cross)
132 ADW, Surrounding stone walls around Veluralin were completed, along with defense towers.
137 ADW, The capital of the newfound Kingdom Thelahar, in the lands of Espia, Estessavale is finally completed with the help of the dwarves of Obsidian Keep. They had spent many years battling off the Deshiven, as well as the ever present troublesome territorial disputes with the orcs. Kristopher Wolfe is crowned its first King. Probably one of the most noted Queens of this age, or of any Queen of any nation for the past three thousand years, was Kristopher’s wife Eliaideah (Ele-ah-daya), who formed the first magi university, which would continue to grow over the centuries, and many years later be referred to and more widely known as Solus Imperium. (Estessavale’s insignia is a wolf and moon)
157 ADW, Tales of the Silent Warrior begin to spread across the land, a man who only went by the name Xeno. Many referred to him as “The Silent Warrior’ for his lack of conversation, mysterious disposition and darkly clad appearance.
413 ADW, Derrek joins forces with Gornaz.
478 ADW, A new era of knowledge began. Many people began to research new magic and take up the arts. This was when the most famous magi schools, who each specialized in certain magite study, began to experience rapid growth and increased interest in magite. The most notable and famous of all magi schools was Solus Imperium, in Estessavale where the knowledge boom began, and is still in existence today. Many cultural venues like theatres and universities were also made, giving the people new ways to express their creativity, knowledge and expand their learning capabilities. Of course the rich and wealthy had full advantage of these things, whereas those of common station didn’t.
499 ADW, He was known as the “Blight”, though his true name was Sevarelith Delameth. It was said he was the spawn of a demon and a human, an unholy paring. A cruel nomadic man, hell-bent on vengeance against those who used magic, he brought wreaked a path of havoc wherever he and his men tread, and had initially crossed the Wandering Heroes to get to the lands of Espir, where he planned to perform his greatest justice. Despite Estessavale’s new found knowledge it fell to the Blight’s armies.
500 ADW, Estessavale’s survivors return to the ruined city and begin reconstruction. The city was still, even after the Blight, a place for beauty, growth of knowledge, creativity and magic… although not as powerful as it once had been. It wouldn’t be returned to its former glory until many centuries later.
504 ADW, Delameth, not satisfied with Estessavale’s destruction, moved across the Uvanha Mountains towards the lands of Lagunis, to the kingdom of Narovia, where he placed its capital Calora under siege. Calora defeated the tyrant with the help of its allies and Delameth was captured and beheaded for his atrocities. His armies fell apart and began quarreling with one another for power, and they eventually destroyed one another, having several lengthy battles in the west near the Uvanha Mountains. Those that did survived fled; dispersing themselves throughout the continents… some say the remnants became gypsies, wanderers by nature. Although he and his army were defeated the land was a mess, and a lot of knowledge lost with it.
764 ADW, Derrek declares war on the Celestials of Ishtar.
866 ADW, Lilithia Etendaria is born, fulfilling a Celestial prophecy.
880 ADW, Derrek and his minions succeed in razing Moonspire and destroying nearly the entire celestial race.
1137 ADW, The Hope Slayer completely vanishes from the face of Calamia and becomes nothing more than a legend.
1973 ADW, The Kingdom of Ethardowan strikes an alliance with the Dwarven nation of Goldshard, planning to work together to rid their people of the Deshiven threat.
2230 ADW, The last of the Lionheart’s in Calora, King Feldorn, passes away from old age. The Perindragor family line succeeds to the throne.
2530 ADW, The people began yet another thirst for knowledge, and began the quest for lost knowledge. Many treasure seekers would be seen around towns and villages. Although some of the lost knowledge had been recovered, many hunters never returned from their ventures. The creation of the catapult, crossbow, and faster ships were the high points of this era, plus gained knowledge of war tactics and new magic. The craze died down in 2552 ADW.
2583 ADW, Calora and Rionia started the expansion of their city walls within the same year.
2921 ADW, A rebellion arose within the kingdom of Veluralin on Ethardowan, taking place within the great city herself. The rebels were forced to flee the capital, resulting in a nation split. The rebels fled to the southern demon riddled lands and named themselves the Sheridan, after their leader Agorin Sheridan.
3027 ADW, Demon hordes begin emerging throughout the lands of Calamia, putting the people on the defensive. Although they were not of true strength, these groups had caused a great deal of trouble in the lands of Auraton, Migoto, Tosarik and Feydhar.
3053 ADW, Veluralin removes the bounty on the Sheridan, and instead disowns the Sheridan rebels and the lands they have inhabited, labeling them traitors. They cut all ties, and refuse to acknowledge their kingdom. Sheridan proclaims itself as a nation and their first king is crowned, Nichols Sheridan. (Sheridan’s insignia is a pair of serpents twined over a long sword)
3069 ADW, the new Sheridan capital is put under siege by the demonic horde headed by Qu’tai. They barely manage to fend off the attack, and it left the city in a great state of damage.
3100 ADW, Dorian Ath’Legandril becomes the tenth Arch Magi of the Kingdom Narovia.
3107 ADW, In the year of 3107 ADW, on the 11th of Fairyeve, the Kingdom of Rionia, under the leadership of Mandrith Pelanon, began a crusade in uniting all of the Kingdoms in the northern regions of Auraton. On the 18th of Sunreign, 3119 ADW, Rionia was successful in uniting all the northern Kingdoms in Auraton, making it the most powerful Kingdom in Calamia.
3109 ADW, Palenom Xirran takes office in Estessavale as high visor to the King. Estessavale begins to see dramatic improvement in city defense, beautification and overall health of the people since his induction.
3119 ADW, After many battles, the Kingdom of Rionia unites all of northern Auraton under a single Kingdom. Peace finally begins to return to the land. No more than two months later an army of demons lead by Derrek infiltrates Rionia and decimates the Kingdom within the day. The Hope Slayer slays Mandrith Pelanon.
