What races are restricted, and why?
Certain races are restricted because they are at a higher risk for abuse than others. These races are also extremely hard to involve into plots as characters. We would like new players to play a basic character type to start, then once past their probation period and they have proven they are capable writers, they may be able to play one of the restricted races. God moding is highly frowned upon in this game, and so to make sure we keep a balance we have to control certain races. The only races that are restricted are Athdraki, Vampires, Deshiven and Forsaken.
